How Is Process Completed?
Like with any other hair transplant procedure, facial hair restoration is completed using donor hairs from the scalp. This hair will have a similar texture and growth tendencies as natural facial hair, which produces a realistic, natural result. The donor’s hairs are removed in a strip from an unnoticeable area on the scalp, usually at the back. Using a microscope, we then section the strip of donor’s hairs in micrografts, which contain just a few hairs each. This creates a more realistic appearance when we place the donor hairs, as natural beard hairs grow in this manner. The micrografts also ensure that hairs can be positioned with precision, allowing our specialist to correctly angle the hair to mimic natural facial hair growth. Not to mention, it helps to minimize the risk of scarring.
What Results Can I Expect After the Procedure?
Whether you are looking to reconstruct a full beard, or you simply want to fill in thin patches, our facial hair restoration will produce the results you want. Depending on the desired thickness of facial hair, you can expect our specialists to use anywhere from 200 to 2,200 one- or two-hair grafts.
